Lecture-40-Circular Prestressing,Conclusion
Description:
The application of prestressed concrete is increasing with the development of technology. Prestressing is the application of an initial load on a structure to enable it to counteract the stresses arising from subsequent loads during its service period. In this course, you will be introduced to prestressed concrete and its applications.
This course covers topics of axially loaded members, flexure, shear, torsion, losses in prestress, material properties, and design of end zones of prestressed members. It also covers special topics such as composite construction, two-way slabs, one-way slabs, compression members, and circular prestressing.
