GitOps Pipelines - Addressing Challenges in Multi-Stage Deployments

Explore the complexities of modern CI/CD pipelines in cloud native computing through this conference talk. Delve into the challenges of implementing GitOps in multi-stage, multi-region, and multi-cloud deployment scenarios. Learn about the limitations of current open-source GitOps platforms in handling complex verification processes and extended deployment pipelines. Discover alternative patterns that address these challenges while adhering to GitOps principles, including an introduction to Kargo, an emerging open-source solution. Understand how Kargo aims to complement existing GitOps tools like Kustomize, Helm, Argo CD, and Flux, offering a declarative approach to managing complex deployment pipelines in cloud native environments.
