Large-Scale Deployment of Data Center TCP (DCTCP) - Challenges and Experiences

Explore a comprehensive conference talk detailing the deployment of Data Center TCP (DCTCP) in a large-scale data center network. Learn about the process, operational experiences, and challenges faced during implementation. Discover how DCTCP signals in-network congestion based on queue occupancy and adjusts sending rates proportionally, leading to improved performance and decreased packet losses compared to legacy protocols. Gain insights into unexpected hurdles encountered during rollout, including unfairness to other traffic classes and implementation bugs. Delve into open research questions and challenges surrounding DCTCP deployment in real-world scenarios.
