From Arm to Z - Building, Shipping, and Running a Multi-platform Docker Swarm
Explore the world of multi-platform Docker Swarm in this 35-minute conference talk by IBM Software Engineers Christopher Jones and Christy Perez. Dive into the latest multi-platform image capabilities introduced in recent DockerCon events and learn how to leverage these features to build applications across architectures. Discover the new `docker manifest` command for creating multi-architecture images and learn techniques for emulating architectures in Docker containers on your own machine. Watch a live demonstration of a heterogeneous Docker Swarm with workers of different CPU architectures, including armhf, ppc64le, s390x, and x86_64. Gain valuable insights on making your project multi-platform ready and learn how to create and deploy basic multi-arch services using multi-platform images. As a bonus, find out how to run non-native Docker containers on your systems, expanding your development capabilities across various architectures.
