The Control Loop as an Application Development Framework
Explore the concept of control loops as an application development framework in this 26-minute conference talk by Nick Santos from Tilt. Discover how the Kubernetes model of real-time, circular feedback can be applied to various applications handling real-time feedback loops. Learn about the benefits of adopting control loops, including simplified and modular app design, improved codebase comprehension for new developers, and enhanced uniformity and extensibility. Examine a use case involving a development tool that reacts to source code and server status changes in real-time. Gain insights into the rich ecosystem of Kubernetes tools and evaluate whether this model is suitable for your own applications. The talk covers an introduction to control loops, Kubernetes, key lessons, and concludes with a Q&A session.
