Terraforming ArgoCD - The GitOps Bridge
Explore the intersection of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and GitOps in this 17-minute conference talk by Brian Fox from Midnite. Learn how the Terraform Provider for ArgoCD can serve as a bridge between conventional IaC pipelines and Kubernetes-based GitOps operators. Discover the benefits of using this provider within existing Terraform-based deployment pipelines, particularly in simplifying the migration of application workloads from ECS to EKS. Gain insights into creating golden paths that reduce cognitive load on application teams during migrations. Examine the trade-offs involved in this approach and understand how it aligns with GitOps principles. This talk provides valuable knowledge for teams looking to streamline their transition to Kubernetes while leveraging existing Terraform workflows.
