Load Balancing in the Multi-Cloud Environment - Challenges and Solutions
Explore the complexities of multi-cloud load balancing in this lightning talk from DevOpsDays Tel Aviv. Delve into why common load balancing solutions like nginx, Traefik, HAProxy, Envoy, and AWS ELB may not fully address the challenges of modern multi-cloud environments. Learn about the intricacies of integrating AWS ELB with Kubernetes operations, and discover why seemingly straightforward implementations can become complicated. Master critical aspects of load balancing including logging, zero-downtime rollouts, handling high request volumes, and troubleshooting issues with websockets, HTTP2, and malformed data. Gain practical insights into selecting optimal load balancing solutions for specific operational needs, understanding the advantages and limitations of different load balancers, and effectively addressing challenges in cloud native environments. Presented by Mickael Alliel, DevOps Tech Lead at Komodor, who brings hands-on experience in developing next-generation Kubernetes troubleshooting platforms. Read more
