Prometheus Sparse High-Resolution Histograms in Action

Prometheus Sparse High-Resolution Histograms in Action

Explore the revolutionary impact of sparse high-resolution histograms on Prometheus in this 35-minute conference talk by Ganesh Vernekar from Grafana Labs. Witness a complete working setup that covers the entire process from instrumentation to graphical representation, including ingestion, storage, and querying. Discover the impressive capabilities of these histograms, such as precise quantile estimations and high-resolution heatmaps, which can be aggregated and partitioned as needed, even when dealing with histograms of varying resolutions over time or across different targets. Gain insights from real-world benchmark results and understand how this innovation is set to transform the way Prometheus handles histograms.
