An Introduction to the Binary Magic of WebAssembly (WASM)

Explore the behind-the-scenes binary magic of WebAssembly (WASM) in this 20-minute conference talk by Divya Mohan from SUSE. Dive beyond the basics and advantages commonly discussed to uncover the powerful binary matrix that drives WASM's capabilities. Follow along with a byte-by-byte walkthrough of generated .wasm code, referencing documentation to demystify the syntactic building blocks. Gain a deeper understanding of WASM's binary structure through a practical demo, starting with writing a simple WASM program and generating its binary. Learn about the current state of WASM in 2022 and discover next steps for further exploration of this technology.
