Review of Helioscope Searches and Status of BabyIAXO

Explore the latest developments in helioscope searches and gain insights into the status of BabyIAXO in this comprehensive 59-minute lecture by Julia Vogel at the Galileo Galilei Institute. Delve into the cutting-edge techniques and methodologies used in the search for axions and axion-like particles, with a particular focus on solar axion detection. Learn about the progress and challenges faced by the BabyIAXO experiment, a crucial stepping stone towards the full-scale IAXO (International Axion Observatory) project. Understand the significance of these searches in the context of particle physics and dark matter research, and discover how helioscopes are pushing the boundaries of our understanding of fundamental physics.
