Dark Energy by Varun Sahni

Explore the mysteries of dark energy in this third lecture by Varun Sahni, part of the "Cosmology - The Next Decade" program at the International Centre for Theoretical Sciences. Delve into the enigmatic force driving the accelerated expansion of the universe, examining its potential nature as a cosmological constant or a dynamic entity. Consider the implications for Einstein's general relativity and discuss how upcoming cosmological experiments may shed light on this perplexing phenomenon. Gain insights into the Lambda cold dark matter (LCDM) paradigm and its challenges, while exploring the interconnections between dark energy, dark matter, and the evolution of cosmic structures.
