Economic Costs for Greenhouse Gas Emission Reductions and the Road Toward Deep Emission Reductions

Watch a 25-minute conference lecture from the Fourth International Symposium on Human Survivability at Kyoto University where Professor Keigo Akimoto from the Research Institute of Innovative Technology for the Earth discusses the economic implications of greenhouse gas emission reductions and pathways toward achieving deep emission cuts. Delivered as part of the symposium's focus on "The Global Energy Transformation: a quest for solutions from the perspective of human survivability," this 2015 presentation explores critical insights into the financial and practical challenges of transitioning to lower carbon emissions.
