Algorithmically Generated Visual Designs
Explore the fascinating world of algorithmically generated visual designs in this 12-minute conference talk from Conf42 JavaScript 2022. Dive into a research project that investigates computer-generated artwork, featuring nine custom algorithms implemented in JavaScript. Learn how these algorithms draw lines and basic shapes onto a digital canvas, inspired by mathematical concepts, natural phenomena, and artistic trends. Discover the process of building a dataset of over 1,000 algorithmically generated artworks and the subsequent analysis of reviewer ratings. Gain insights into the associations between algorithm parameterizations and viewer responses. Access the GitHub repository for hands-on exploration of the Drawing Program used in this project.
