Unitary Groups, K-Theory and Traces

Explore the intricate connections between unitary groups, K-theory, and traces in this 49-minute lecture by Pawel Sarkowicz from the University of Waterloo. Delivered on October 2, 2023, as part of the Workshop on Operator Algebras and Applications: Groups and Group Actions at the Fields Institute, delve into advanced mathematical concepts and their applications. Gain insights into the broader context of operator algebras and their role in modern mathematics through this talk, which is part of the Thematic Program on Operator Algebras and Applications.
