Imagining Space

Imagining Space

Explore the fascinating concept of space and its representation in the brain through this thought-provoking lecture. Delve into the intricacies of neural networks, cortical function, and visual processing to understand how our minds construct spatial awareness. Examine the computational costs and self-organizing principles underlying spatial cognition. Investigate binary number systems, grid patterns, and discrete hierarchies as they relate to spatial representation. Gain insights into the isomorphism between physical space and mental constructs, and discover how self-motion contributes to our sense of place.
