An Invitation to Graph Braid Groups

An Invitation to Graph Braid Groups

Explore graph braid groups in this 47-minute lecture by Ben Knudsen from Northeastern University, presented at the Fields Institute on August 1, 2024. Delve into the intricacies of star graphs, K5 graphs, and their homology. Examine concepts such as polynomial growth, homological stability, and the degree of polynomials. Investigate generators and torsion within graph braid groups. This talk is part of the Workshop on Polyhedral Products and the Focus Program on Toric Topology, Geometry and Polyhedral Products.
