Tameness Beyond O-Minimality - Lecture 1

YouTube·Mathematical logic

Explore the foundations of tame phenomena over the real field in this graduate-level lecture on tameness beyond o-minimality. Delve into key concepts such as the real field, partial order, and postminimality as presented by Philipp Hieronymi from the University of Bonn. Examine the naive goal of the field and compare it with other programs in mathematics. Investigate the minimum and the setting of open sets, and analyze various examples to deepen understanding. Gain insights into this complex mathematical topic through a comprehensive introduction that sets the stage for further exploration in the graduate course series.
