Paul Arne Østvær- A1 Contractible Varieties

Explore the intricacies of A1 contractible varieties in this lecture delivered as part of the Hausdorff Trimester Program's Workshop on "K-theory in algebraic geometry and number theory." Delve into key concepts such as the cancellation theorem, local model structure, and the notion of not able contractible. Follow along as the speaker presents a comprehensive proof and theorem, concluding with an insightful postscript. Gain valuable insights into this specialized area of mathematics over the course of an hour-long presentation.
