The Man Who Invented Calculus - The Life and Work of Madhava - Lecture 3

Explore the groundbreaking mathematical contributions of Madhava in this third lecture of a series on the inventor of calculus. Delve into advanced topics like sin series for discrete differences, the notion of infinity, and efficient methods for computing Pi. Examine Madhava's anticipation of modern abstract mathematical approaches that supported his calculus work. Learn about his innovative techniques for accelerating the convergence of series and gain insights into early functional analysis. Engage with a detailed discussion of Madhava's mathematical legacy and its significance in the history of mathematics, followed by a Q&A session to deepen understanding of this influential Kerala mathematician's work.
