Testing Your Yocto Project - From Ptest and Testimage to LAVA
Explore various testing options for Yocto projects in this informative conference talk. Learn about suitable tools based on project complexity and scalability, from simple setups using testimage class and ptest for small projects to more advanced frameworks for complex, multi-architecture projects. Discover how to create a complete test setup for single-hardware projects, integrate results into CI/CD systems like Gitlab, and display testimage outcomes as unit test reports. For larger projects requiring automated scheduling on multiple devices, gain insights into integrating ptest and pytest into a LAVA test environment and explore LAVA alternatives. Understand the benefits and applications of different testing approaches to optimize your Yocto project's quality assurance process.
