Rollout Patterns: Smoothly Migrating and Rolling Out Your Microservices

Explore rollout patterns for smoothly migrating and deploying microservices in this 30-minute conference talk by Tim Xiao from DaoCloud at a CNCF event. Discover how Watsons, a company with services primarily built on Dubbo, aims to leverage delivery tools like Argo CD and Argo Rollouts for automated and secure service delivery. Delve into the complexities encountered beyond Argo Rollouts' assumptions and learn how to handle three key patterns: deploying one service at a time, managing multiple forward-compatible services, and dealing with multiple services with version dependencies. Gain insights into overcoming challenges in microservices deployment and migration strategies applicable to cloud-native environments.
