Grab it Explore the profound impact of Large Language Models (LLMs) on programming in this thought-provoking 57-minute conference talk by Crista Lopes at ACM SIGPLAN. Delve into how LLMs are revolutionizing the traditional notion of programming, which has relied on translating high-level specifications into computer instructions using artificial languages for the past 80 years. Discover the two-fold disruption caused by LLMs: their ability to automatically perform translations and their capacity to achieve desired effects without conventional algorithms or data structures. Gain insights into the implications of this technological shift for the field of computer science and CS education through an exploratory tour of this brave new world.
