Building a Self-Service Platform for Legacy to Kubernetes Migration
Discover how IndMoney, one of India's fastest-growing brokers, developed a self-service platform to facilitate the migration of legacy services from EC2 and ECS-based containerized workloads to Kubernetes (EKS) in this 15-minute conference talk. Learn about the challenges faced in scaling and wider adoption of their initial setup, which required millisecond latency and high availability. Explore the innovative approach taken to build a platform that enabled developers to migrate services with zero network disturbances, avoiding traditional lift and shift or downtime-based methods. Gain insights into how the platform generated metrics for developers to track progress and assisted in setting appropriate alerts for new services. Understand the intricacies of transitioning to a more scalable and efficient infrastructure while maintaining critical performance requirements in the competitive financial services sector.
