Unleash the Power of Technical Empathy
Discover the transformative power of technical empathy in this 15-minute conference talk from PlatformCon 2023. Explore how this mindset shift can revolutionize software development by fostering clearer responsibilities, empowering both implementers and integrators, and building trust between delivery teams. Learn why good abstractions should place the burden on API creators rather than integrators, and how this approach leads to more robust, maintainable systems. Gain insights into applying systems thinking, leadership principles, and industry experience to cultivate technical empathy within your own context. Presented by Jeff Doolittle, Sr. Software Architect at Trimble, this talk offers valuable perspectives for software professionals seeking to enhance collaboration and create more effective, user-friendly APIs.
