A Functional EDSL for Mathematics Visualization That Compiles to JavaScript - Demo
Explore a 21-minute conference talk from FARM 2023 showcasing Sylvester, a functional domain-specific language (EDSL) for mathematics visualization. Discover how this F#-embedded interface to the JSXGraph library enables mathematics students, teachers, and end-users to create high-quality interactive visualizations without extensive vector graphics or web development knowledge. Learn about Sylvester's emphasis on readability, composability, and user-friendly manipulation of visualization elements. Gain insights into how this tool bridges the gap between complex mathematics concepts and accessible visual representations, compiling to JavaScript for web-based applications. Presented by Allister Beharry from the University of London, this demo offers a glimpse into the future of mathematics education and practice through innovative visualization techniques.
