Using Terraform and Consul to Delegate Service Deployment to Service Teams
Explore how Terraform and Consul can streamline service deployment in service-oriented architectures through this informative conference talk. Learn to manage infrastructure as code with Terraform, enabling service teams to deploy autonomously while utilizing shared resources. Discover Consul's capabilities for service discovery, health checking, and key-value storage. Gain insights into self-bootstrapping service instances, API Gateway integration, and implementing high availability patterns using Consul's primitives. Delve into topics such as layered Terraform configuration, Azure Virtual Network testing, DNS service registration, deploying software independently, and leveraging remote state and dynamic data querying. Enhance your understanding of modern infrastructure management and service deployment strategies in this comprehensive presentation.
