The Algorithms of CSS

Explore the intersection of CSS and computer science algorithms in this 27-minute conference talk from CSSconf EU 2018. Discover how CSS, often dismissed as not a "real" programming language, actually incorporates algorithmic concepts in its core functionalities. Learn about the algorithmic nature of the cascade, Grid Layout, and design systems. Follow a self-taught developer's journey to connect CSS with fundamental computer science principles, demonstrating how understanding these concepts can enhance your coding practices. Gain insights into how CSS, while unique in its approach, benefits from algorithmic thinking just like other programming languages.
