Kubernetes + WebAssembly - A New Architecture for Serverless
Explore a groundbreaking approach to serverless architecture in this 30-minute conference talk from Alibaba's Yifei Zhang and Wenjun Gao. Delve into the challenges faced by traditional Kubernetes-based serverless implementations and discover how the integration of WebAssembly (Wasm) offers a more competitive solution. Learn about Alibaba Cloud's latest practices, including managing Wasm runtime as Pod to create a Wasm runtime cluster, leveraging WebAssembly's sandbox capability for secure multi-tenancy, and delivering applications as Wasm files for rapid loading and processing. Gain insights into how this innovative combination significantly reduces cold start times and enhances overall efficiency, stability, and security in serverless environments.
