Low-Latency and Session-Oriented Serverless Workflows

Low-Latency and Session-Oriented Serverless Workflows

Explore challenges and solutions for creating low-latency, session-oriented serverless workflows in this conference talk by Manuel Stein and Paarijaat Aditya from Nokia Bell Labs. Discover alternative design approaches for FaaS platforms that address high function invocation overhead and slow access to application state. Learn about co-locating multiple functions within a single container, isolating concurrent function invocations at the process level, and utilizing persistent, addressable functions to maintain application state across invocations. Gain insights into topics such as Function as a Service, state management, stateful functions, Azure Entity Functions, CloudState Platform, and related research projects.
