Standardizing Applications for the Cloud at a Global Scale
Explore the concept of standardizing applications for cloud deployment at a global scale in this conference talk. Examine the evolving definition of an "application" in the cloud native landscape, particularly as deployments become more complex across multiple clusters, regions, and clouds. Dive into the benefits of a standard application definition model and learn about recent ecosystem efforts, such as the Open Application Model (OAM). Discover how standardization enables powerful orchestration capabilities, including scheduling applications and their infrastructure dependencies across multiple environments. Gain insights into Kubernetes scheduling principles and how they can be applied on a global scale to manage complete applications across multiple clouds.
