BPF Host Network Resource Management

BPF Host Network Resource Management

Explore network resource management in Linux through this conference talk from the Linux Plumbers Conference. Dive into the complexities of managing both local and global network resources, focusing on bandwidth allocation. Learn about the limitations of the current traffic control (tc) subsystem and discover a new BPF-based framework being developed for efficient traffic shaping. Examine experiments, results, and comparisons of different TCP flavors, and gain insights into latency increases and RTT impacts. Understand the challenges and potential solutions for improving network resource management in Linux systems.
