Azure SQL Database Serverless - Compute Autoscaling Solution to Optimize Database Performance and Cost

YouTube·PASS Data Community Summit

Explore Azure SQL Database Serverless, a compute tier designed to optimize price-performance and simplify management for single databases with intermittent, unpredictable usage. Learn how this autoscaling solution automatically adjusts compute resources based on workload demand, billing only for compute used per second. Discover the benefits of automatic database pausing during inactive periods and instant resumption when activity returns. Gain insights into leveraging serverless capabilities to reduce costs while meeting performance goals in SQL Database. This conference talk from PASS Summit 2019 provides valuable information for database administrators and developers seeking to enhance their Azure SQL Database management strategies.
