Crowd Your Way Out of a Paper Bag
Explore the fascinating world of cellular automata, swarms, and agents in this conference talk from ACCU 2022. Delve into crowd simulations and learn practical applications, such as optimizing room layouts for coffee and biscuit placement. Discover the power of randomness in learning and exploration, gain insights into AI and machine learning, and acquire tips for navigating spaces through simulations. Examine the progression from simple rule-following cellular automata to more complex swarms and agenda-driven agents. Witness simulations of blobs escaping paper bags while picking up valuable mathematical and statistical concepts along the way. Leave with inspiring ideas to experiment with and a deeper understanding of crowd behavior and simulation techniques.
