Documentation in the Era of Concepts and Ranges

Documentation in the Era of Concepts and Ranges

Explore how concepts and ranges revolutionize C++ documentation in this ACCU 2022 conference talk. Delve into the impact of concepts on template constraints and interface requirements, and learn how ranges enable program restructuring through named pattern composition. Examine the self-documenting nature of concepts, balance code-based and textual descriptions, and discover techniques for creating audience-tailored documentation. Analyze real-world project examples and use ranges as a case study for documenting concepts-based APIs. Gain insights from Christopher Di Bella, a Google Chrome OS toolchain engineer, and Sy Brand, Microsoft's C++ Developer Advocate, as they discuss the evolution of C++ documentation practices.
