Deliberate Architecture
Explore the concept of deliberate architecture in software design through this insightful conference talk from ACCU 2022. Examine how to step back from your system and evaluate its major structures and technology choices. Learn to distinguish between conscious architectural decisions and those that have emerged through system evolution. Discover strategies to avoid getting stuck in local minima while continuously adding features. Investigate the importance of designing systems based on major forces acting on a solution rather than following prevailing software trends. Understand the role of software architects in focusing deliberately on constraints and qualities of system design, rather than becoming overly distracted by features. Gain valuable insights into creating software architectures that better align with stakeholder expectations and original visions.
