Modelling vs Reality
Explore the intricacies of categorization and modeling in software development through this thought-provoking conference talk from NDC's Copenhagen Developer's Festival. Delve into the human brain's automatic and hidden process of forming categories to make sense of the world. Examine how differences and similarities influence this process and how it translates to deliberate modeling in software development. Investigate the trade-offs between intuitive common-sense categories and more precise technical categories. Gain insights into various perspectives on categorization, the ever-changing nature of reality, and the concept of edge cases as regular cases that encountered unforeseen circumstances. Enhance your understanding of the challenges and complexities involved in bridging the gap between abstract models and real-world scenarios in software design and architecture.
