Building That Glorious Monolith and Carving It Too

Explore the benefits of starting projects with a monolithic architecture in this conference talk from NDC Porto 2023. Learn well-established patterns and practices for building maintainable monoliths that avoid the pitfalls of becoming a "big ball of mud." Discover how to leverage Domain Driven Design, eventing, and API design techniques to keep code organized and development speed high. Gain insights into effectively carving out microservices from a monolith when necessary, minimizing effort and complexity. Understand why the question isn't simply "to microservice or not to microservice," but rather how to build a glorious, scalable monolith that can evolve with your project's needs.
