Introducing Transient Gestures to Improve Pan and Zoom on Touch Surfaces

Explore innovative touch-based input techniques in this 20-minute conference talk from the ACM CHI Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems. Delve into the concept of transient pan and zoom gestures designed to enhance touchscreen interactions. Learn how these temporary view-altering manipulations can coexist with traditional gestures while reducing repetition in multi-level navigation and facilitating rapid movement between document states. Gain insights into the research methodology, user feedback, and potential future directions for improving touch surface interactions.
