Monad I Love You Now Get Out Of My Type System
Explore a groundbreaking programming paradigm in this 45-minute conference talk from Strange Loop 2022. Discover how a unique platform, built on Scala, revolutionizes asynchronous execution by separating business logic from execution concerns. Learn about automated asynchronous execution, caching, bitemporal data storage, distribution, and dependency tracking, all achieved with minimal impact on function signatures. Witness live coding demos showcasing the platform's innovative approach, which uses only five extra characters (@node) to guarantee referential transparency. Gain insights into this decade-old technology, now being open-sourced and cloud-ready, as presented by Gjeta Gjyshinca, a software developer at Morgan Stanley focusing on cache and scheduler performance.
