Rethinking Connectivity
Explore the future of distributed systems in this 48-minute conference talk by Derek Collison, founder of NATS. Delve into the concept of a "connective economy" and learn about the new pillars of Connectivity 3.0, including location independence, perimeterless security models, and intelligent persistence. Discover how NATS.io technology can be applied to build modern distributed systems with microservices, streaming, and enhanced security across multiple cloud environments and edge systems. Gain insights into Synadia's global network NGS and understand how to extend it using NATS servers and clusters. The presentation covers fundamental concepts, topologies, security considerations, persistence strategies, and real-world examples, providing a comprehensive overview of rethinking connectivity for modern distributed systems.
