Impossible Programs

Impossible Programs

Explore the limits of computation in this thought-provoking conference talk from GOTO Chicago 2015. Delve into the concept of impossible programs as Tom Stuart, author of "Understanding Computation," challenges the common belief that computers can solve any logical or mathematical problem. Examine the boundaries of what is computable and gain insights into the fundamental limitations of programming. Learn about the theoretical underpinnings that define what tasks are truly impossible for computers to perform, regardless of technological advancements. Discover how understanding these limitations can inform better problem-solving approaches and system designs in computer science and software engineering.
