The Quantum Computers Are Coming

Explore the fascinating world of quantum computing in this 46-minute conference talk from Devoxx. Journey from the early days of computing with Zuse's Z3 to the cutting-edge realm of supercooled quantum processors and parallel universes. Discover how quantum bits (QBITs) differ from traditional bits, offering near-infinite values and unique operational capabilities. Learn about the groundbreaking algorithms made possible by quantum computing and their potential impact on the future of technology. No advanced physics knowledge required – join software developer Alasdair Collinson as he demystifies quantum computing concepts and shares his passion for the "metadata" of computers and programming.
