Location Transparency
Explore the concept of location transparency in software architecture through this conference talk from YOW! 2022. Delve into how this approach can address concerns about coherence, coupling, and connascence metrics when building applications. Learn how location transparency can serve as both a catalyst and safety net when transitioning from monolithic to distributed microservices architectures. Examine traditional application structures, including dependencies between methods, classes, packages, and modules, and understand their impact on application scalability and decomposition. Discover practical applications of location transparency and gain insights into how Domain-Driven Design, CQRS, and Event Sourcing architectural concepts leverage this principle to manage complexity in software systems.
