Reactive Relational Database Connectivity
Explore the Reactive Relational Database Connectivity (R2DBC) initiative in this 38-minute Devoxx conference talk by Mark Paluch. Discover how R2DBC enables a fully reactive stack for relational database access, learn about its API functionality, and understand its advantages. Compare R2DBC with the ADBA project, proposed as a JDBC successor. Gain insights into nonblocking connection factories, result connections, bindings, and the Java client. Delve into Spring Data repositories, connectivity, and the ecosystem surrounding R2DBC. Examine alternatives, the imperative model, and the future of SPI for driver implementers. Acquire valuable knowledge about reactive programming in database systems and access essential resources for further exploration.
