Reactive Relational Database Connectivity
Explore the world of Reactive Relational Database Connectivity (R2DBC) in this 49-minute conference talk from Devoxx Poland 2019. Dive into the growing importance of reactive programming in modern projects and discover how R2DBC fills a crucial gap in creating fully reactive stacks for relational database systems. Learn about the R2DBC initiative, its API structure, and its advantages over traditional approaches. Compare R2DBC with the ADBA project, proposed as a JDBC successor. Gain insights into key concepts such as Connection Factories, Transactions, and TDC Clients. Understand how R2DBC integrates with the Spring Framework and various configuration frameworks. Examine the current R2DBC ecosystem, available features, and potential alternatives. This comprehensive overview equips developers with essential knowledge to leverage reactive programming in database connectivity for more efficient and scalable applications.
