寻找第二个地球

Explore the romantic side of astrophysics through Dr. Xiaoying Pang's TEDxXJTLU talk on the search for a second Earth. Discover how the quest for Earth-like planets is driven by humanity's desire to find kindred spirits in the universe. Learn about the unique characteristics that make Earth habitable, presented as criteria for finding a suitable planetary partner. Gain insights into three common methods scientists use to detect potential Earth-like planets: the radial velocity method, transit method, and direct imaging. Dr. Pang, a physics professor and astronomy researcher, employs creative teaching techniques and storytelling to make complex astrophysical concepts accessible and engaging for a general audience.
