TimeCrypt - Encrypted Data Stream Processing at Scale with Cryptographic Access Control

Explore a conference talk from USENIX NSDI '20 that delves into TimeCrypt, an innovative system for scalable and real-time analytics on encrypted time series data. Learn how TimeCrypt addresses the growing need for confidentiality in cloud-stored data from devices and services while maintaining utility through secure and selective access for authorized services. Discover the system's ability to enforce expressive data access and privacy policies cryptographically, ensuring end-to-end encryption and allowing authorized parties to decrypt and verify queries only within their permitted scope. Gain insights into TimeCrypt's performance and memory overhead, which are reported to be competitive and comparable to operations on unencrypted data.
