Virtual Machines as First Class Citizens in Service Mesh

Virtual Machines as First Class Citizens in Service Mesh

Explore how virtual machines can be integrated as first-class citizens in service mesh architectures in this 26-minute conference talk from KubeCon + CloudNativeCon North America 2021. Discover the challenges and solutions for unifying containerized and legacy applications within a service mesh framework. Learn about automating the process of adding VMs to the mesh, handling multi-cluster deployments, and implementing canary deployments between pods and VMs. Watch a practical demonstration showcasing automated testing using Kind and Docker containers to simulate VM integration without actual virtual machines.
