This course provides an introduction to communication engineering. Topics covered in the lectures include communication channel, the Hilbert transform, analytic representation of bandpass signals, fundamentals of analog signal transmission, analog modulation carriers, amplitude modulation, single-sideband modulation, VSB modulation, superheterodyne receivers, angle modulation, demodulation of angle modulated signals, feedback demodulators, FM receivers, TV transmission, random processes, behavior of communication systems in the presence of noise, pulse modulation systems, delta modulation, and pulse code modulation.
