Fooling Your Senses - Super-Natural User Interfaces for the Ultimate Display

Explore the concept of ultimate displays and perceptually-inspired interfaces in this keynote address from the ACM Symposium on Spatial User Interaction. Delve into the history of computer-mediated reality, from Plato's "Allegory of the Cave" to modern science fiction, and examine how current technology can create illusions that fool our senses. Investigate the implementation of various ultimate displays using state-of-the-art technology, and consider the future research challenges and questions that arise from these developments. Learn about graphical user interfaces, VR state debt, natural user interfaces, spatial interfaces, and smart interfaces as you journey through the evolution of human-computer interaction.
